West Bibles

The following records are transcribed from a photocopy of Bible pages sent to the author by the Landmark Society of Western New York. In an attempt to track the source of these records, the author has sent dozens of letters to various historical and genealogical organizations and individuals in the Rochester, New York area. So far no one can identify the source. From the handwriting in the records it appears that most of the entries were written in one hand all at once. Therefore most of them have come from some other unknown source. However several of the last death entries are in another hand, making it seem as if the Bible was originally maintained by one of those individuals--probably Olive Stone West, Orson West or Caroline West Knickerbocker.
